MAiD Family Meetups and Bereavement Support Groups
Meet other MAiD families members for support and community.
Join us for a coffee and a conversation at a local meetup near you, connect with others via Zoom or participate in a structured grief and bereavement support group.
Bridge C-14's MAiD Groups are dedicated to bringing together families and loved ones together through peer-to-peer conversations focused on building community with those who have lived experience.
ONLINE MAiD GRIEF DROP-IN GROUP:
In partnership with the facilitators of the MAiD Grief Recovery Group, the drop-in sessions will begin in June 2021. This group will meet twice a month (Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings) to provide informal grief support to those with lived experience with MAiD.

Several members of Bridge C-14 have organized an online support group in partnership with the organization. The group will meet weekly from May 19-July 21, 2021 (10 weeks). For additional information on the group or to register please email email@example.com.
ALLISTON + SOUTH SIMCOE, ONTARIO:
Bridge C-14 has partnered with Matthews House Hospice to offer a MAiD Family Meetup.
In response to requests in the community, Bereaved Families Ottawa, Dying with Dignity Canada, and Bridge C-14 have partnered to offer a bereavement peer support group for individuals and families who may have experienced or are in process for a medically assisted death (MAiD) of a family member or close friend.

Bridge C-14 has partnered with Kari Gray, RPN to host a grief and bereavement support group.
Bridge C-14 support groups are available on Vancouver Island.

WATERLOO WELLINGTON LHIN (GUELPH, ONTARIO):
Bridge C-14 has recently partnered with the Waterloo Wellington LHIN. This organization is currently offering Zoom virtual meetings until COVID restrictions are lifted. The group is offered the 4th Monday of each month from 7:00-8:30pm.
